Ahh driving in summer traffic on a 37

Ahh driving in summer traffic on a 37C day to enjoy some festive cheer and a sit poolside, while the kids splash. Out of web range, on the peninsula. Got the under water can to play with. The pains have filled the dams nicely. Nearly there.

Did i mention we are in a drought?

Yesterday brought flooding. Torrential rain which the kids had never seen before. Driving to swimming was a challenge. There was flooding everywhere. Lucky we left a bit earlier. We missed some of the flooding closer to home. However it has left up feeling like we are in the tropics with the humidity. Yuck. I did get some more plants in the garden Woohoo

We are off to spamalot

Spam spam spam. Should be fun. Great tix. A slow morning after a couple of big nights.tummy still a bit wonky. Now to find a park and get settled. Hopefully will catch up with mare and paul. Haven't seen him in quite a while. Hmmm the kahlau and milk was nice last night. It is past midday. Hehehe

An afternoon snack during the very monotous feature race. 3.5 hours of a small field of pretty cars. Very expensive pretty cars.

Friday

At the V8 circus at phillip island. Worked in the got humid office, did some stop to cowes and san remo for the ute caterer. Busy but good. Today is the dance concert then back to the island on sunday. No sept for the wicked but lots of fun. Better get this show on the road. Make up lights action.

Lovely day for a drive

It would have been nice to stay longer, but alas children needed to be picked up. Ice to get the car which broke down on sunday night on the way home from the island? Fun fun fun. Lunch and company was lovely.

Sitting here watching number one son pla

Sitting here watching number one son play tennis and being able to blog my thoughts. Brilliant. being able to log on to blogger from my phone most anywhere i wish to is the beauty of mobile technology. Love it. 3 big weekends in a row. Will be fun. Two at the island one at sandown. Today is my little guy's 9th birthday. They grow up way too quickly. Nearly time to in. Mmmm nearly beer o'clock. My brain is getting very random. Must be enjoying not working.

Assume crash positions

Auntie trin is heading back to qld. It was a busy day with presenting at the conference, driving through all the much needed rain, tap and them the BBQ at mum's where as truck i ate too much. A late night for the little ones but it was only a short visit. Ahh now the conference is over i can enjoy my leave.

Her front tooth is so wobbly, it will soon be tooth fairy time. Probably just in time for the dance concert in 3 weeks. It's funny how much getting those big top front teeth changes the look of their face. She will be such a grown up girl then, my baby growing up. The boys have such big teeth, when their faces grow into them it will be good. Very much in puppy stages at the moment. They are going to be so tall.

Wonderful day for a walk in melbourne. Went with will on an excursion with his year level. All about cultures. Sandridge bridge where immigrants to victoria are recorded. St patrick's cathedral and china town. Finished off with lunch in the fitzroy gardens, where we rested, then visited the fairy tree, miniature tudor village and captain cook's cottage. Riding home in the bus. Half an hour to go. Not that i'm counting much

Raining solidly for over 12 hours. We need it badly. Hope it is getting into the catchment areas too. The rocks are bedding in well. The front that we have slaved over has been trashed by the two little ones deciding to walk through the mud. Argh

We got the rocks. Waiting for the mulch which will delivered on monday. Oh and i don't go back to work til the end of january. Woohoo.

The little one will be so much fun at the beach. It will be great to see the bonuses of the new dslr too. 3 and a half days til holidays. Woohoo

It's getting very exciting.... not long til the big move..... looking forward to it, and yet anxious...
Packing is exhausting enough....
Thursday is the big move day.... Wednesday we get the keys... and some time before the (not much time left) the driveway gets done....

Tuesday is now torchwood day

hehehe ... well I thought I was so clever..... and tried the scribe fire at work... still couldn't connect, but it worked well on my edublog.
It's late, I should be in bed... big week with the production and moving and stuff...
but torchwood is on... damn channel 10 for farting around with their programs like they do... Jericho disappeared, and now Torchwood is left to the after midnight shift....
well rugged up for a chilly night... off to chill with the lovely captain jack harkness

how very cool..... I picked up some add ons when I upgraded Firefox, and "Scribe fire" was one that looked interesting. It is a little link that I can click on to add to any of my blogs... without having to open each one individually...
the big test will be if I can blog from work... hmmmmmmmmm
and I haven't heard about my twitter thing either.....for the phone...

well finally some great news... kate is in remission... gotta love that...
it will still be a long way back.... but she is a tough little cookie...

after that anything else seems to pale into insignificance...
hmmmm started a twitter account... just had to know what it's all about.... and it seems like fun... waiting to hear if my phone is linked...

The kids have been loving the early house warming present we have given ourselves... and nintendo wii... it is lots of fun...it will be great to have the space to play it in the new house.
2 weeks and 4 days til hand over... the fly screens are on... and the driveway goes in next week... woo hooo
Mic is at the races today at PI... and left his phone home... so no chit chat during the day :( guess I will catch up on the gossip later...

Things are moving

wooo hoooo.... things are moving sweetly with the house....
I tried posting from my phone earlier today.... clearly that didn't work... will have to add the email/web thing... $5 a month... consdering I am paying $8 less a month for my new phone...might be worth the investment... apparently I will be able to blog my pics then too....
I am loving my moblog as well... I am a very visual person....
We sold our house in less than a week.... that was trippy but also excellent.... so settlement for that is early Sept... hoping for a date soon from the builders.... they only give us 4 weeks notice to final completion date.... considering they are two months ahead we are travelling well.... wondering what will go wrong...
Off to Shell's for a few drinks tonight... we got the book (what book you ask???? HP7 of course duh) and Will is reading it first... although I will have to catch up

Yesterday was fun.... the boys and I went off to Pokemon tournament... Will played Jack in the first round and was then defeated by a much older guy in the second round.... so he got to the top 50%. I am getting experienced at these... it's our second. Will did very well with the trivia comp too - winning some pokemon cards and the new Pearl game for the DS. (he very sweetly gave Jack the cards...) Jack also got himself some cards, playing in the card game.
I hope this works... I started a motionbox video thing....



anyway... I also walked away a winner... after being asked to be in a "parent comp" I think they thought we didn't play games...LOL... anyway... I played and won... receiving a "More Brain training" game for my DS. I think I need it....

anyway... to sleep to sleep... soon

Ohhh wow... the house is coming along.... it is soooo exciting. The frame is done... and the brickwork underway. It's really real now. The colours are looking grat too... it's always a worry when you choose from samples.... will they really look ok when there is more than one brick.... and will the colour lot of the bricks be the same as what we chose...and will they all go?????
The brick work and the accent brick look great... I was really happy... the windows are in and the guttering is there ready to go... and so far so good... touch wood... hehehe....won't be long til the colorbond roof is on....then that will look awesome...

regrowth

Well.... six weeks on from the world's greatest shave... and it is coming back... still a bit chilly in the mornings... but getting there... having some fun with product :)

halfway through

well just over... but who's counting....

I think I have got lots done over this break.... as well as eating chocolate (mandatory) we have done the family thing.... the car has been erviced... and I have revamped an old wooden desk we had which will replace the huge monster we got to fit the 17 in monitor on it.... the flat screen will look great and the only thing we don't know how to fit will be the chair....LOL

I have set up the whole picasa thing.... which is so easy to use..... tried to do the phone blog thing... but not sure what is up with that.... I think I need to key in the whole plus 61 thing....

anyway... I have added the link to the pics from my furniture adventure... let's see what it looks like :)

How very cool

I set up the whole picasa thing just now.... hopefully aiming to get more regular with my pic posting, so I can share with many more people the pics I take, and hopefully much easier.

I may start them on something like that.... get them to evaluate their own space first of all.... hehehe...

Run won and shaved

The first GP of the season saw the sweet Kimi in red finish first.... and Webber finished... awesome in 13th. We had another quiet time..... a couple of spins and some oil was as exciting as it got.... ohhh and post 6's radio died, just when something was being called in.... so I was able to back up :):):)

The after party gave me the opportunity to raise some funds for the world's greatest shave.... and was blown away with the generosity of the race officials, I raised over $1200 over the weekend, and so the locks were shaved off....

The party is a blur.... mainly because the boys spent so long cutting my hair, but they did a pretty good job :) well.... it's all off, what could go wrong?

Incredibly after the shave I had all these gorgeous young girls coming up for a pash.... hehehehe.... made my gay sister jealous.

What is it about a bald head that people feel they can touch it? I mean most people wouldn't touch your face or hair, unless they were very close..... but shave your head of and it seems you are fair game.... LOL... I have had many people rubbing my head for luck.....

Two days down the track, and I am velcro head... LOL... sticking to everything...so I have been wearing a bandana with a hat.... to keep it warm and less prickly....

The night before

tomorrow... the grand prix... welll day one of the 4 day event :)
and ... well leading up to the final days before the possible shave.... I am thinking I will go through with it anyway..... as I have raised over $500 personally... so that would be a big hole in the funds raised....
gotta find out how I can upload my images straight to here... as I usually post them to my moblog.....
ahhh better get ready for bed....
